Mrs. Gleisner

Mrs. Gleisner
I have been teaching here at Erin since 2004. I taught for two years in 4 year old kindergarten and then moved to 5 year old kindergarten. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from St. Norbert College in May 2003. I am licensed to teach Pre-K through Grade 6 with a DPI license of #083. I graduated in May 2010 from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin with my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning.
I chose to go into teaching because I wanted to make a difference in the world. I love teaching as every day I am able to foster a love of learning in the children I teach. I want to engage my students so they feel empowered to learn and be creative in the process. I believe all children can learn and I realize that all children learn differently and at different paces. I make every effort to help each child reach their full potential. I love how energetic and inquisitive my students are, they make me laugh and smile every day. I am thankful that we have parents and community members who really care about the children at Erin and their education. Their dedication and commitment to Erin School is so great and helps make it a wonderful place to be. I also love the professional development opportunities I have with my colleagues. I value and respect their opinions and appreciate their honesty and ability to listen. I am a better teacher every day because of the conversations and interactions we have as a staff. I have a great passion for learning new things and keeping up with technology. Being a teacher is a great way to do both. What a wonderful job I have!
