Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year at Erin School! I am thrilled to be working with your child this upcoming school year. Your first year of school will be an exciting one and I look forward to seeing the growth your child will make throughout the year!
My name is Theresa Azoff and this is my second year teaching 4K. I have also taught 5K and 1st grade in my teaching experiences thus far and am looking forward to a great year of guiding the children on their initial paths to learning.
I have been married for 10 years and have a beautiful four-year-old daughter, Cicely, who will begin her first year of 4K at Slinger Elementary this year. My family and I live in Hartford with our dog (Annie), Cat (Felix), and a large fish tank full of fun fish and other aquatic life. We are also learning all about sustainable agriculture and have fruit trees and a very large garden. Rainbarrels and a compost bin have also been added to our lives this summer!
We will be learning lots of things this year. The morning 4K class times are 8:00-11:00. Our day will include: greetings (teachers and classmates), free play and centers, opening activities (calendar, weather, daily schedule), group time (lesson/letter of the week), snack break/bathroom break, story/library, music, outside play, and dismissal. We will also have special activities throughout the year which will include computer time, sharing time, outreach events, and field trips. I look forward to our year!!
